The teleprompter is hard to read while filming
Use the size and speed sliders to dial it in, and tap Preview scroll before recording to rehearse. The band sits high under the lens on purpose, so your eyes stay near the camera. You can also drag the text with your finger to reposition it mid-take.
How do I save my video?
Record a take, review it, then tap Save to Photos. The finished video lands in your Photos library, ready to post. Recito asks for permission to add to Photos the first time.
What does the unlock include?
"Recito Pro" is a one-time purchase that removes the watermark, allows unlimited-length scripts, unlocks 4K recording on devices whose camera can manage it, and includes all future Pro features. Recording, the teleprompter, multiple takes, 1080p video and mirror mode are free.
What are "Experiments" in Settings?
Features that are built and working, but not yet settled enough to be part of the app everyone gets. They ship switched off, so nothing about recording changes unless you turn one on, and you can switch them back off at any time. Each one either graduates into the app proper or is removed — the video quality picker started as an experiment and is now simply a setting. Today there is one: choosing which microphone records. I bought Pro on another device
Open the unlock sheet or Settings → Restore purchase. As long as you're signed in with the same Apple ID, your unlock restores for free.
Is my data private?
Yes — completely. Recito collects nothing and has no server. Your scripts and videos never leave your device except when you choose to save or share them. See the privacy policy.
